The high-end Xbox handheld will cost $999 in the U.S.
Pre-orders are open for the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, which means we finally have pricing details.
Back in June, Microsoft unveiled the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X—two new handheld consoles developed in partnership with ASUS.
The company said both devices will launch during the 2025 holiday season and claimed they will let players "hold the power of the Xbox experience in their hand." What it didn't reveal, however, was how much both consoles will cost.
Now, around four months later, we finally have those details.

In an Xbox Wire blog post, Microsoft confirmed the ROG Xbox Ally will retail for $599.99 in the United States. The more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X, which is pitched as the "high-performance" option, will retail for $999.99.
Both devices will launch globally in 38 countries on October 16, 2025, and are available to pre-order right now in those markets. Microsoft said exact pricing may vary by region and will be confirmed locally as pre-orders go live.
For instance, according to UK retailer Currys, the ROG Xbox Ally will retail for £499 in the region, while the ROG Xbox Ally X will cost £799.
"With these devices, we aim to deliver a new era for handheld gaming that empowers players to bring games from Xbox, Battle.net, and other leading PC storefronts with them, anywhere they go," said Microsoft, outlining its vision for its new handheld hardware.
"The ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally unite the best of ASUS, Xbox, and Windows to create a first-of-its-kind portable experience, featuring several new and first-of-their kind features—from an immersive Xbox full screen experience, an aggregated gaming library with access to installed games from leading PC storefronts, and more."
